Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Wafers

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Make sure to use pot holders when handling pots on the stove

Notify anyone else in the kitchen that the stove will be on, to prevent anyone from burning themselves.

Step 1: Boil Water

Add water to your medium pot, about halfway full, and bring to a boil

Step 2: Melt Chocolate

Put the second pot or bowl on top of pot with the boiling water.

Add chocolate chips to pot/bowl and stir with spatula until everything has melted.

Step 3: Dip Cookies

Once chocolate has melted, begin dipping the wafer cookie in chocolate and use the spatula to help if needed.

Once your desired amount of chocolate is on, transfer cookie to the parchment lined baking sheet.

Step 4: Finish

Continue to dip as many cookies as you wish.

Once all cookies are dipped in chocolate, sprinkle your sprinkles onto the chocolate.

Step 5: Cool

Leave baking sheet out for at least 15 minutes or transfer to the fridge to allow the chocolate to harden back up.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Once the chocolate has hardened, Enjoy!!

Chicken Shish Kabob

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Use an oven mitt when handling the kabobs on the grill. The area above your grill will be very hot!

Step 1: Marinade

Whisk olive oil, vinegar, honey, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Cut chicken into 1-2 inch chunks and place in marinade for at least 30 mins.

Step 2: Veggies

Soak skewers in water for 20 mins.

Cut peppers and onions into medium squares.

Step 3: Preheat

Preheat your grill and spray with nonstick spray OR your pan on the stove with a little olive oil.

Step 4: Prep Kabobs

Assemble your kabobs in any order you would like by threading the chicken and veggies onto the wooden skewers.

Be sure to leave about 1 inch free on each side.

Step 5: Cook

Place kabobs on the grill or pan and cook about 10-15 minutes or until the chicken has reached 165°

Make sure to turn the kabobs every few minutes to ensure each side is cooked.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Once your kabobs are done cooking, eat!! Be careful when grabbing the sides of the stick because it will be very hot.

Kitchen Safety Tips: Always open lid away from yourself or anyone else.

Cool soup , portion and freeze for a quick meal!

S and P – salt and pepper

Step 1: Oil and Veggies

In a large pot, on medium heat, add oil and let warm.  

Add onions and cook 3 minutes, add celery and carrots and cook 5 more minutes.

Add garlic, cook 2 more minutes.

Step 2: Add Stock

Add 8 cups of chicken stock (boxed or make your own) and bay leaves

Pour away from yourself and low to the pot to avoid splashing

Step 3: Bring to a Boil

Bring stock to a boil, and then lower to medium heat. Cook with cover on ,5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Step 4: Add Pasta/Chicken

Add the chicken and pasta. You can add parsley, salt and pepper here.

Step 5: Taste

When the pasta is almost done, taste, be careful, it’s HOT. If more salt and pepper is needed, add here.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Let cool a few minutes and Enjoy!!

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Make sure to use pot holder when touching pots on the stove.

Turn the stove off as soon as you are done using it.

Step 1: Prep

Prep your cutting station by laying a damp cloth down and placing your cutting board on top.

Chop spinach, celery, and onion. Shred carrots using a cheese grater or food processor.

Step 2: Sauté

Melt butter in pot over medium heat. Add carrots, celery, onion, and garlic to the pot and sauté until tender.

As your veggies are cooking, add in salt, Italian seasoning, thyme, pepper, and paprika.

Step 3: Milk & Cream

Once veggies are tender add chicken stock.

Measure milk and pour in a bowl along with flour. Whisk to combine. Add the milk/flour mixture to the pot.

Add heavy cream to the pot.

Step 4: Simmer

Add chicken to the pot.

You may turn up to a medium high heat but not any higher. We want to bring it to a simmer, but not a boil. Keep an eye on the soup so that it does not boil over. Cream soups will boil over very quickly!

Step 5: Gnocchi

If your gnocchi are frozen, add them to the pot now to defrost in the soup. If they are refrigerated, add them last to ensure they don’t become mushy.

Step 6: Finish & Enjoy!

Once your soup has heated up to a simmer, you may turn off. Add spinach and stir to combine.

Allow soup to cool a few minutes and enjoy! This soup is super yummy with some parmesan cheese on top!

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Always make sure Chicken is cooked to 165 degrees as every oven can vary in cooking time!

Always use an oven mitt when handling trays in the oven.

Step 1: Preheat

Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400 degrees!

Step 2: Chicken- frozen

If using frozen fingers, cook for 8-10 minutes. If in oven, flip halfway through to cook until golden on both sides.

Step 3: Chicken- fresh

If making your chicken fingers

Set up 3 bowls as follows in this order:

  1. Egg
  2. Flour
  3. Breadcrumbs

Dip chicken tenders in each bowl, coating and then placing on baking sheet or in air fryer basket.

Cook in oven 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway

Cook in air fryer 8-10 minutes

Step 4: Rolls

While chicken is cooking, cut rolls in half, and spread blue cheese or mayo (if you like).

On one side layer, lettuce, tomato, and onion (again if you like)

Step 5: Toss

Once chicken is done, toss in a bowl with your sauce of choice or leave plain.  

Step 6: Finish and Enjoy

Add chicken to your sub roll, cut in half and enjoy!

Remember, making this at home is cost effective and you can do healthy swaps like whole wheat rolls, low calorie mayo and no breading on your chicken!

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Always turn off the stove once you are done using it.

Always use pot holders!

Step 1: Cook Chicken

Cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°

Air Fry @ 400° for 14 minutes, flipping halfway through

Deep/Pan Fry @ 350° for at least 6 minutes

Oven Bake @ 350° for at least 25 minutes

Step 2: Brown Butter Sauce

While your chicken is cooking, melt butter on the stove over medium heat. Once butter is melted, add brown sugar and whisk. Bring to a boil. Add rum extract and maple syrup. Whisk and bring to a boil. Shut off stove.

Step 3: Slaw & Bacon

Pour brown butter sauce into a mixing bowl with coleslaw, stir to combine.

Cook bacon in a pan over the stove, or bake in the oven at 350° until you’ve reached your desired crispiness. Sub turkey bacon for a healthier option.

Step 4: Waffle

If you’re using frozen waffles, cook them using box directions.

If you’re making your own, mix your batter with a whisk. Spray waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray. Pour batter onto hot waffle iron and cook until golden brown.

Step 5: Assemble

Cut waffle in half. Place one half on a plate. Stack 2 chicken tenders, 2 slices of cheese, 2 pieces of bacon, half of the brown butter coleslaw mix, squeeze desired amount of sriracha mayo, and top with the other half of the waffle.

Step 6: Enjoy!!

Make as many sandwiches as you like, and enjoy!!

This sandwich is best served immediately. If you choose to save some for later, keep the coleslaw and sriracha mayo on the side so your waffle doesn’t get soggy!

Kitchen Safety Tips: Always make sure handles on pots are facing in, use pot holder or hot pad!

Chef Tip: if you don’t like coconut oil, use avocado or olive oil!

Step 1: Cut Chicken

Cut Chicken into cubes.

Clean surface

Step 2: Melt oil

Use 2 Tablespoons of oil in larger pan, 1 in smaller pan and melt on medium heat.

Step 3: Add Chicken        

Season Chicken with garlic, onion and salt, add to large pan and cook until done, about 10 minutes

Step 4: Make Sauce

In small pan with coconut oil add soy, ginger (peel skin and shave with vegetable peeler) and Splenda.

Cook until combined/thick

Step 5: Add Veggies

Add Broccoli and Cauliflower Rice to pan with chicken, cook until warm

Step 6:  Serve

Plate chicken, top with sauce and ENJOY!!

Make sure to use pot holder when touching pots on the stove or pans in the oven.

Turn the stove/oven off as soon as you are done using it.

Step 1: Prep

Prep your cutting station by laying a damp cloth down and placing your cutting board on top. Preheat oven to 375°

Chop carrots and celery. Dice onion. You can do a larger chop for the carrots or shred them depending on your taste!

Step 2: Sauté

Melt butter in pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until tender, about 10 minutes.

Add chicken stock and bouillon cubes to a small pot over medium heat to warm up.

Step 3: Finish Stew

Add flour to pot with onion and stir for 2 minutes until thick, reduce to low heat.

Add hot stock & heavy cream, stir to combine. Turn off stove.

Add all remaining ingredients: salt, pepper, parsley, carrots, peas, celery, and chicken.

Step 4: Bake & Biscuits

Put stew in the baking dish on top of the parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.

Add flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt to a mixing bowl and whisk to combine.

Add about 1 cup of the heavy cream to the bowl and mix with forks.

Step 5: Finish Biscuits

As you’re mixing, add the rest of the heavy cream to the bowl, a dough will start to form. Use hands to knead and create a dough ball.

Flour a surface and rolling pin. Roll out dough to about ½ thick and cut 12 biscuits out of dough.

Make sure anyone around you is aware that you are using the stove and that it will be hot!

Step 1: Whisk

Whisk together almond milk, chia seeds, agave/honey, and salt in a bowl together.

Step 2: Soak

Let the mixture soak in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour and up to overnight. It should create a thick texture similar to rice pudding.

Step 3: Toast Quinoa

Over medium-high heat, toast quinoa, shaking the pot often to ensure they are evenly toasted.

Step 4: Cut Berries

Chop berries of your choice into smaller pieces

Step 5: Finish

Portion the chia pudding into smaller cups, add cut berries on top, and add fresh mint for a garnish

Cook bacon before starting soup!

Step 1: Water

In a large pot, add water and turn on medium- high.

Step 2: Add 7 ingredients

Add to water, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper.

Bring to a boil and cook 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender, then turn off stove.

Step 3: Milk and flour mix

In a small pot, place flour in pan, slowly add milk and whisk. Bring to a boil and stir until thick.

Step 4: Add Cheese

Turn off heat and remove.

To milk mixture, stir in cheese, 1 cup at a time until melted.

Step 5: Add to veg mix

Pour all of cheese mix into large pot and mix well. Add bacon and continue to mix until combined.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Let cool a few minutes and Enjoy!!
