Kitchen Safety Tips:

Let anyone around you know that you will be using the stove.

Always use a pot holder when touching the handle of the frying pan.

Step 1: Prep Pan

Heat frying pan with olive oil on a stove over medium high heat.

Step 2: Cook Meat

Add meat to the pan and cook until meat has browned.

Step 3: Season

Once meat is about halfway cooked, add seasoning and stir to combine.

Continue to cook meat until completely browned.

Step 4: Doritos

Grab a personal sized bag of Doritos and open. Hold the top of the bag closed and squeeze bag to break up the chips.

Step 5: Toppings

Once chips are broken up, add whatever taco toppings you want into the bag.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Mix with a fork and enjoy!

This is a great meal for a picnic or on the go because you eat it right out of the bag!

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Always use pot holders or oven mitts when handling pots on the stove.

If you are uncomfortable using a knife, ask someone for help.

Step 1: Prep

Wash your produce.

Cut lettuce and dice the tomato and onion.

Step 2: Ground Turkey

In skillet, heat olive oil and add all of the ground turkey. Once meat starts to brown, add half of the taco seasoning to the meat (1 Tbsp or half of a standard seasoning packet).

Stir in seasoning and cook meat until completely browned.

Step 3: Mix

In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream and the rest of the taco seasoning (1 Tbsp).

Stir until combined.

Step 4: Layer

Stary by spreading the sour cream mixture evenly on the bottom of the 13 x 9 baking dish.

Next, spread taco meat evenly.

Sprinkle your desired amount of shredded cheese next.

Step 5: Veggies

Sprinkle your desired amount of lettuce, tomato, and onion on top.

Other optional toppings: jalapenos, black olives, guacamole, corn.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!

This is a perfect quick appetizer or game day snack.

Sweet Potato Donuts

Sweet Potato Donuts

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Always use an oven mitt!

Make sure anyone around you is aware that you are using the stove and that it will be hot!

Step 1: Dry Ingredients

Whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2: Wet Ingredients

Whisk together brown sugar, butter, oil, buttermilk, egg, egg yolk, sweet potatoes, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth

Step 3: Combine and Bake

Add dry ingredients into wet ingredient bowl and mix with a spatula to combine

Spoon mixture into a greased donut mold

Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes

Step 4: Make Glaze

Melt butter in small pot over medium heat

Whisk in brown sugar, milk, and maple syrup and cook until bubbly

Whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth

Step 5: Finish

Dip the tops of cooled donuts into the maple glaze and let dry

Step 6: Enjoy!

Sweet Potato Chili

Sweet Potato Chili

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Make sure to use pot holder when touching pots on the stove.

Turn the stove off as soon as you are done using it.

Step 1: Prep

Prep your cutting station by laying a damp cloth down and placing your cutting board on top.

Dice onion, mince garlic, chop sweet potatoes into medium chunks, chop peppers. Rinse beans.

Step 2: Sauté

Add onion and garlic to the sauce pan with 2 Tbsp of water. Sauté over medium heat until the onion becomes translucent, 2-3 minutes.

Step 3: Simmer

Add all remaining ingredients to the pot. Cover with lid and let simmer for at least 35 minutes, or until the sweet potato is tender.

Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.

Step 4: Optional Ingredients

Make this chili your own! Here are some other things you could add:

different beans, other potatoes, fresh tomatoes, avocado, shredded cheese, plain yogurt or sour cream, cilantro, green onions, tortilla chips, etc.

Step 5: Cool

Once your chili is done, let it sit for about 10 minutes to cool off.

Step 6: Enjoy!

This can be stored in an air tight container in the fridge for about 3 days. You could also portion and freeze to have an easy meal later!

Sugar Cookies

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Always use an oven mitt!

Be sure to add any attachments to your mixer before you plug

them in.

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

Preheat oven to 350°

Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Cream Butter & Sugar

Add sugar and room temp butter to stand mixer and beat with paddle attachment for 4-6 minutes.

Add vanilla and egg to stand mixer and mix until fully incorporated.

Step 3: Dry Ingredients

Add flour and baking powder to a mixing bowl and whisk to combine.

Add dry ingredients to stand mixer in 3 parts. Mixing well between each addition.

Chill dough for 3 hours.

Step 4: Cut & Bake

Lightly flour your work surface and rolling pin. Roll out dough to about ½ inch thick. Use cookie cutters to make as many cookies as possible! Continue to roll out dough until all of it has been used up. Lay cookies on baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until edges are golden.

Step 5: Frosting

Combine all frosting ingredients into a mixing bowl and use a hand mixer to combine.

You may use food coloring if you want to dye your frosting.

Step 6: Decorate & Enjoy!

Once cookies have cooled, decorate with frosting and whatever sprinkles you may have.

Stuffed Shells

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Check the oven before you preheat it to make sure it is empty.

Always use an oven mitt!

Step 1: Preheat and Prep

Preheat oven to 350°

Spray baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2: Sauce

Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of your baking dish. Make sure there is sauce totally covering the bottom of the dish.

Step 3: Shells

Place shells on top of the sauce.

Cover shells with more (your desired amount of) sauce.

Step 4: Cheese & Garnish

Sprinkle your desired amount of mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top.

Sprinkle with parsley.

Cover baking dish with aluminum foil.

Step 5: Bake

Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

You may also turn your oven on broil for a few minutes if you like your cheese to be bubbly and crispy!

Step 6: Cool and Enjoy!

Remove shells from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

These can be kept in an airtight  container in the fridge for 3 days.

Strawberry Shortcake Cookies

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Always use an oven mitt!

Step 1: Dry Ingredients

Whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

Step 2: Cream Butter

In a stand mixer with the beater attachment or with a hand mixer, beat together the butter and both sugars for 4-6 minutes.

Step 3: Finish Mixing

Add applesauce, red food coloring, and both extracts then beat just until combined.

Pour dry ingredients in and beat just until combined.

Do not overmix.

Step 4: Fold & Chill

Fold in the golden oreos, freeze dried strawberries, and white chocolate chips.

Scoop 12 cookies onto a parchment lined baking sheet and put in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°

Step 5: Bake

Bake cookies in a 375° oven for 10-14 minutes.

Remove and let cool for about 15 minutes to set.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Chicken must always be cooked to an internal temperature of 165°.

Always use an oven mitt when handling trays in the oven.

Step 1: Prep

Preheat your oven or air fryer to 375°

Prep a cutting station with a damp cloth and cutting board. Slice onions, tomatoes, and cut lettuce.

Toast rolls if desired.

Step 2: Air Fry                OR

Air Fry at 375° for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked to an internal temperature of 165°.

Flip halfway through.

Step 3: Bake

Bake at 375° for 10-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked to an internal temperature of 165°.

Flip halfway through.

Step 4: Sauce & Oil

Toss cooked chicken in a bowl with your desired sauce. Use tongs to coat.

Add all sub oil ingredients to a bowl and whisk to combine or add to a squeeze bottle and shake to combine.

Step 5: Steak

Add olive oil to a frying pan over medium high heat. Add shaved or frozen steak. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Cook until meat has browned. Stirring occasionally.

Step 6: Assemble & Enjoy

Start with the bottom of your roll, add tossed chicken fingers, then cooked shaved steak, lettuce, tomato, onion, and squeeze sub oil over veggies. Spread mayo on the top half of your roll, and blue cheese, and enjoy!!

Kitchen Safety Tips:

Always use a pot holder!

Let people in your home know that you will be using the stove.

Use the claw method when using a knife to avoid any accidents.

Step 1: Prep

Prep your cutting station with a damp cloth and cutting board.

Dice onion. Melt butter.

Spray pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Preheat oven to 350°

Step 2: Sauté

Heat frying pan over medium heat. Add olive oil, diced onion, and minced garlic.

Sautee until onion is tender.

Add in frozen spinach and sauté until thawed.

Drain water.

Step 3: Dry Ingredients

Measure flour, baking powder, and salt into a mixing bowl and whisk to combine.

Step 4: Wet Ingredients

Add eggs, milk, and melted butter to the bowl with dry ingredients and whisk to combine.

Add shredded cheddar cheese, cooked spinach, onion, and garlic, stir with a spatula to combine.

Step 5: Bake

Spread mixture into the bottom of your pan and level it out.

Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!

Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes.

Cut up into squares.

Serve and Enjoy!

These can be stored in an airtight container for 4 days.

Spinach and Broccoli Enchiladas                                        

Spinach and Broccoli Enchiladas                                        

Before starting, if needed, cut broccoli into fine pieces and drain spinach in a paper towel to remove extra water… put aside. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

In a skillet, add 2 tsp of oil and warm over medium heat. Add onion and stir frequently until tender.

Add Broccoli and stir, add spinach and cook until warm. Add 1/3 of sauce into the pan saving the rest. Add garlic powder and taco powder and mix thoroughly, remove from heat onto a safe surface. Add cottage cheese and mix well, add ½ of the cheddar and mix (will not melt).

Add mixture evenly into the flour tortilla and fold in half twice. Place in pan (8 to a pan). Top off with rest of sauce and spread on top. Sprinkle rest of cheese on top. Cook at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. When done, let sit for about 8 min.

Each serving is 2 enchiladas
