Per guidelines from OPWDD, effective immediately, all Community Services for Every1 Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs) will suspend all visitations, with the exception of medical or clinical necessity. In an attempt to contain COVID-19, we are implementing this new policy to protect the health and well-being of the people who live in our residences.
Please note, that any medically essential visitors will still be subject to our screening process and anyone who presents symptoms of illness, has recently traveled to higher at risk areas labeled by the CDC, or has been in contact with those who may be exposed to COVID-19, will not be allowed to enter the site.
We understand this is a confusing and fearful time. Because the coronavirus is highly contagious for up to 14 days before a carrier is presenting symptoms, it is important we continue to practice social distancing for everyone’s safety. Many of the individuals we support are at a higher risk for complications than the general public. Our goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy during this time of uncertainty. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 716-883-8888 ext. 707 or COVID19@csevery1.com.
A Message from President and CEO, Mindy Cervoni
As we continue to navigate this emergency as a global community, I wanted to provide an update to our Community Services for Every1 family on what we have been doing as an agency to prepare for coronavirus and its impacts. Currently, there are no cases of COVID-19 at Community Services for Every1. We have put into place several new procedures and policies to ensure we are keeping our sites and offices as clean as possible and mitigating risk of infection.
Our Executive Management Team is closely monitoring this fluid situation and following guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), and New York State OPWDD.
Additionally, Community Services for Every1 has put together an emergency COVID-19 team to ensure we are all working together quickly and efficiently to protect the people we support and all our employees. We have emergency procedures ready and in place and have designated quarantine sites in the event that someone we support contracts the virus. We have ordered extra supplies for our sites, including cleaning supplies, paper products, masks and gowns to ensure we continue to provide the best supports to the people we serve.
To continue to receive the most up to date information from our agency regarding COVID-19, we have created a new link on our website, www.csevery1.com. Of course, you can continue to follow us on social media as well. A dedicated phone line and email address have been established for all COVID-19 concerns, 716-883-8888 ext. 707 and COVID19@csevery1.com.
In closing, during this time of uncertainty, please remember to take care of yourself and the vulnerable in our community, including the elderly and those living with a disability. Take extra precautions to protect yourself from this virus and use judgment when in a public space.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Mindy Cervoni, CEO
