Behavioral Services

Our Behavioral Services consist of our Behavior Intervention Program and our Intensive Behavioral Services.

  • Behavior Intervention Program provides in-home behavioral and parenting support services to adults, children, and parents with developmental disabilities who reside with their families and exhibit challenging behaviors. Collaborative in-home evaluations are conducted to assess the behaviors present and develop a family-centered plan. The Behavior Intervention Specialist then develops a plan with the family and trains them in a familiar setting where the person feels secure, with the goal of implementing successful techniques that manage or eliminate behaviors completely.
  • Intensive Behavioral Services provides behavioral support to those residing in non-certified settings or Family Care Homes, who are waiver enrolled and who present with challenging behaviors. Prior authorization from the local DDRO is required before a referral can be made. Collaborative in-home evaluations are completed to assess the behaviors present, a Functional Behavior Assessment is conducted, and then a Behavior Support Plan is developed. The service is time-limited for a period of up to 180 calendar days, and includes up to 25 hours of in-home service after the plan has been developed.
